SANTA CRUZ DE LA SIERRA
Santa Cruz of the Mountain range tropical paradise of Bolivia, is a department of exuberant vegetation with enormous extensions of forest and prairies, located in the Eastern part of the Bolivian territory. With a surface of 320,000 km square, of which only a third includes a mountainous region and the rest extends on the Amazonian plain. It counts with a total population of 1, 364.389 inhabitants (census 1992). The capital of the department is City of Santa Cruz de la Sierra is located to a height of 437 m.a.s.l. Located between 17° 47 ' 20 " of South latitude and 63° 10 ' 30 " of west longitude of the meridian of Greenwich. This department counts with 15 provinces and 150 corners.
